Working with cross-functional project team resources, the Building Caretaker ensures client work is delivered on time and on budget, according to defined scope, timeline and cost parameters. The Building Caretaker plans, schedules and controls all project activities towards these objectives, while building positive professional relationships with in-house administration, creative teams, outside contractors, suppliers and clients. The Building Caretaker is also responsible for resource management – a key component of a financially-successful digital marketing agency.

SKILLS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE

– Minimum 5 years’ experience in a fast-paced, high-demand technology or design environment in a leadership/management role
– Understanding of modern web technology stacks
– Demonstrated skills in creating professional proposals and conducting presentations
– Demonstrated skills in working with clients and providing a professional level of service
– Experience communicating with developers and working within development processes
– Passion for learning and growing skills in a dynamic, lean, team environment
– A positive and constructive communication style
– Able to form strong professional relationships within a small, diverse team
– Able to handle multiple projects at once and remain focused on priorities while under pressure
– Manage scope and quality, proactively assess and mitigate risk

INTERNAL RESPONSIBILITIES

– Oversee production timelines and budgets of digital media assets
– Liaise with the Director of Client Services and the Director of Strategy regularly to drive timelines forward for all client projects
– Update project reports and provide feedback to the Client Services team
– Track, analyze and report accurate status on resource management ie. ‘costs vs income’
– Monitor capacity and resourcing of team members
– Closely monitor and improve internal workflows including documentation for processes
– OTIF (on time in full) – ensure tickets are delivered on time and completed in full

MANAGING CONTRACTORS AND SUPPLIERS

– Manage estimates and invoices from contractors
– Use online platforms to discover new talent and grow Skyrocket’s roster of contractors
– Build and foster relationships with our contractors
– Optimize utilization rates for each project and deliverable
– Onboard contractors to Skyrocket and keep documentation updated and filed accordingly
– Monitor capacity and resourcing of contractors
