MacEwan University is seeking a full-time continuing Curriculum Planning Coordinator with our Faculty of Nursing. Reporting to the Associate Dean, you will be responsible for providing effective support for curriculum-related activities of the designated Faculty/School. This position is advisory in nature, providing curriculum-related analysis, advice, and support to the Associate Deans and Chairs of the Faculty/School regarding the development, revision, or deactivation of courses and/or programs of study, ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures and ensuring appropriate workflow, timelines, and processes are met.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Facilitating overall curriculum planning and development of the designated Faculty by providing centralized support and coordination of related activities.
• Supporting the Associate Dean and Chairs in planning and coordinating scheduled reviews and updating of Programs of Study and Degree/Program Regulations for nursing programs.
• Working in collaboration with the Office of the University Registrar (OUR) to ensure Faculty/School processes and practices comply with, and complement, institutional processes, rules, guidelines and practices.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound judgment, diplomacy, and the ability to foster and maintain positive, collegial relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
• The ability to exercise initiative, work independently, and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, assess situations, apply good judgment and discretion, and handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
• The ability to gather, analyze, integrate, and summarize varied materials to provide accurate, complete, and current information and advice to Faculty and other staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Completion of an Undergraduate Degree in a related field.
• A minimum of three years of progressively responsible and diversified related experience; exposure to curriculum planning and coordination work is preferred.
• Direct experience in a post-secondary or related public sector environment is preferred, along with experience with nursing education programs.
• Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Google suite of applications; etc.
• Equivalences may be considered.
