:Job Description:-Full Job Description Youth Reintegration Worker– Full-Time Contract Location: | Posted on: March 7, 2023Location: John Howard Society of York Region Job Type: Full Time – Contract Application Deadline: March 13th, 2023 by 4:00 pm Job Description: John Howard Society of York Region (JHSYR) is a non-profit, charitable organization serving residents of York Region. The organization works with individuals involved in any stage of criminal justice involvement and their families. The Youth Reintegration Program provides evidence-based case management support to youth ages 12-17 involved in the justice system. This program specifically supports Indigenous, Black, and other racialized youth. This program will focus on providing specialized supports to build protective factors in youth through case management, intensive support, referrals to community resources, client advocacy and collaboration, and individual goal planning. The program utilizes a collaborative and integrated approach to increase protective factors which may include establishing positive support systems, social and emotional learning, accessing healthcare for both physical and mental health, food security, housing stability, employment, and education. The function of this position is to provide support to youth who are involved with the Criminal Justice System and are living or returning to communities in York Region. The Reintegration Worker will conduct intake assessments; needs assessments; goal planning and learning activities; as well as provide housing support and referrals to community resources. |
