Kano (www.kanoapps.com) is looking for a talented 2D character artist with a portfolio demonstrating the capacity to imitate established line art styles to create content for Idle Distiller (www.idledistiller.com) and two more upcoming narrative idle games in other 2D line art styles.

Our goal is to build long-lasting customer-centric gaming experiences that have challenges and opportunities in both the business and creative realms.

We offer flexible hours and scheduling and remote applicants will be considered for this position.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Creating concept art for original characters as well as new costumes & themes for existing characters.
• Finalizing digital assets for integration into the game or as marketing assets (app stores, user acquisition advertising creatives)
• Participate in content team meetings and planning

Your portfolio should include:

• Digital line art characters in a variety of styles.
• Demonstrations of characters keeping proportions and weight in a variety of poses and expressions.

Required experience:

• Professional production experience in the following software tools or equivalent:
  • Photoshop
  • Illustrator
• References from clients or employers to attest to the quality and productivity of the work

Nice to have:

• 2D character animation skills
• Strong sense of light, form, tone, palette
• A strong understanding or experience of how art affects user acquisition performance
• Professional production experience in the Unity game engine
