LOCATION: Toronto, ON – Hybrid Model (Mainly Remote)

COMPENSATION: $43,821 – $53,476 Annually Prorated

LOFT Community Services is a unique and dynamic charitable organization that supports
people living with complicated issues such as mental and physical health challenges,

substance abuse, poverty and homelessness. Serving approximately 10,000 annually and
providing 1,733 units of supportive housing last year, LOFT is one of Ontario’s largest

mental health service providers of its kind. LOFT is also recognized as a Nonprofit

To help fulfill its mission, LOFT is hiring a People & Culture Administrator.


As a People & Culture Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the day to day

operations of the People & Culture Team. You will have the ability to follow through
independently on assigned projects and display a high degree of competency in document

and report production. You will be the first point of contact for all HR inquiries and
manage request in a timely manner. Above all, we are looking for someone who will make
LOFT better. Working in a team environment the ideal candidate will exhibit a willingness

to pitch in where needed in pursuit of the organization goals and objectives.

What You Will Do

Support the day to day operations of the People & Culture team

Provide exception customer service to all staff
Coordinate & prepare content for internal communications

Monitors HR inboxes and distributes staff requests or mail to appropriate team

Organize educational webinars and training for employees across the organization

Create & manage HR-related reports, resources and communications materials

Administrative support to various team initiatives e.g. performance reviews, social
events, recognition awards and employee engagement initiatives

Assists with research, analysis and implementation of programs and projects as

Assist with the maintenance and documentation of yearly and quarterly HR
processes and policy updates

Improve the use of our current tools, as well as help us evaluate new tools that will

automate and improve our ways of working

What You Bring

Post-secondary education in HR, Business or a related field

Human Resources designation, is a strong asset
1 year experience working in an Administration capacity

Excellent written, interpersonal & communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, for routine tasks, as well as the ability to

leverage these platforms to create surveys and forms

Strong organizational and problem solving skills with ability to prioritize and meet
set deadlines

A positive, proactive attitude to fit into our teams culture
Service-oriented and capable of communicating with professionalism and tact

Strong analytical skills with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
Ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality and tactfully handle sensitive

Familiarity with the not-for-profit sector is an asset

Cultural competency and an understanding of working within an anti-oppression
