Position Summary Reporting to the Door Shop Supervisor and working alongside other Shop Employees, the Door Shop Employee is responsible for assisting in the fabrication of all manufactured exterior doors. The position performs varying tasks including building, assembling, verifying factory items, quality checks, cutting, installing door lites, machine maintenance, fabricating custom doors while ensuring that the manufactured product meets or exceeds company standards. It operates a variety of tools and equipment in a shop while maintaining a safe, clean, and respectful work environment, and performs other related duties. Education and Experience There is no formal certification required, although any certifications in construction, wood working or as a General Labourer are considered an asset. Experience handling tools and equipment in a safe manner, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Mechanical aptitude would be an asset. Experience in operating a forklift is desirable. Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the qualifications listed above may be equally considered. Core Competencies
