Nature and scope

YMCA of Greater Toronto’s Employment and Community Programs provide a variety of employment and counselling programs to youth and adults throughout the GTA. The YMCA serves youth who are unemployed, in transition from school to work, and have multiple barriers to employment. The mandate of our program is to provide employment-related job search skills, life skills, career assessment, and job opportunities with local employers.

The Data Integrity Agent provides superior service to members and staff. As well as providing administrative support, the Data Integrity Agent supports the various programs by helping to maintain flow of information within the centers.

Responsibilities

• Prepares member intake and usage documentation.
• Inputs member data into various information collection systems including but not limited to CATS, CAMS, ABM and ETO, and conducts weekly imports.
• Conducts monthly financial reconciliation.
• Prepares and produces written and statistical reports using a variety of information systems from which to draw data.
• Maintains accurate and up to date document organization systems.
• Prepares and produces onsite communication tools and reports Surveys members for qualitative purposes.
• Performs outbound telephone services, i.e., liaising with employers and members; gathering information; tracking outcomes.
• Demonstrates appropriate behaviours in line with our Mission, Vision and Values as reflected in our YMCA competencies; takes a member focused approach to increase their understanding of programs offered across the Association.Represents the YMCA and the Association in a professional manner.
• Understands the legal responsibilities and moral imperative to report suspected child abuse to Child Protection Services.
• Understands the importance of the volunteer staff partnership and integrates the value of philanthropy and volunteerism in dealings with staff, volunteers and members.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• College Diploma in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related area
• Demonstrated relevant work experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of YMCA’s Vision and practices
• Well-developed interpersonal, and relationship-building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff and volunteers; excellent written communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel
• Commitment to working in a socially inclusive environment responding with sensitivity and personal awareness to the diverse needs of members including visible and non-visible dimensions of diversity
• Flexibility regarding assigned schedules, including days, evenings and weekends
• Ability to work in an efficient manner independently and as part of a team
